The Match Officials for the 2022-23 ACT Premier Cricket Grand Finals have been appointed.

The First Grade Grand Final between the Weston Creek-Molonglo and Queanbeyan Cricket Clubs at Phillip Oval was be overseen by Cricket ACT State & Territory Umpire Panel (STUP) member Dinusha Bandara and Cricket ACT Premier Umpire Panel member Paul Miller. Along with his Premier Cricket commitments, Bandara officiated in several Cricket Australia (CA) competitions this season including Weber WBBL, WNCL and was Fourth Umpire in KFC BBL matches. Bandara was appointed to the Cricket Australia Under 19 Male National Championships held in Adelaide.

Long serving ACT Cricket Umpire Bill Ruse will be travelling to the UK this July with The Victor Trumper XI.

​

Ruse has officiated in over 500 matches in Canberra and has previously stood in a Prime Minister's XI Tour match featuring the 2006 touring England cricket team. In more recent times, Ruse has taken up involvement in the Victor Trumper Society which fields the Victor Trumper XI. The side first played in January 2023.  Several members have toured England with other sides over the years, however this is the first tour in what is hoped the start of a new tradition.

The Victor Trumper Society was formed some years ago, with member Rodney Cavalier, then the chairman of The Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust being instrumental in the naming of the Victor Trumper stand at the SCG. The 2023 tour comprises 12 matches, including fixtures against the MCC, the Duchess of Rutland’s XI, and the Sir Paul Getty XI at Wormsley.
